In reverse order:-
5. Swindon
4. Southampton (Canute Rd.)
3. Your garden railway
2. Melksham today
1. is a trick question, because it's an artists impression of Melksham once the proposed upgrade to the Trans-Wilts service is completed.

In reverse order:-
5. Swindon

These are all correct - although the answer you gave for (1) isn't the one I had on the card.

Timmer has identified 4. correctly.

But can anyone tell me where 3. (in this country) and 1. (Overseas) were taken?

3 - Thorpe Park, Alton Towers? 1 - I'd say it looks like somewhere in Germany (look how spotless and tidy it is)

Shazz "has it".  Washington DC (Direct Current) Metro.   It's Springfield / Franconia station, in Virginia rather than DC itself.
