And what rolling stock do they have in mind, since loco-hauled MK3s and DVTs(resolve) have never operated above 110mph? Unless they are planning, at least for parcels, to revive an old EWS (English Welsh & Scottish Railway Ltd, now known as DB Schenker Rail (UK (United Kingdom))) plan to convert Mk3 sleepers into 125mph vans and even then, there are precious few of those left spare these days.

Interesting. I suppose it has to be Mark 3 stock.

Imagine a train load of GUVs running at 125! Assumming there are enough left to form a train.

True, but the only difference between 110 and 125mph operation for any type of MK3 vehicle is the maintenance schedule.
