And what rolling stock do they have in mind, since loco-hauled MK3s and DVTs‡(resolve) have never operated above 110mph? Unless they are planning, at least for parcels, to revive an old EWS▸ (English Welsh & Scottish Railway Ltd, now known as DB Schenker Rail (UK▸ (United Kingdom))) plan to convert Mk3 sleepers into 125mph vans and even then, there are precious few of those left spare these days.

Interesting. I suppose it has to be Mark 3 stock.

Imagine a train load of GUVs running at 125! Assumming there are enough left to form a train.

True, but the only difference between 110 and 125mph operation for any type of MK3 vehicle is the maintenance schedule.
