"What is TransWilts Rail".  Shortest answer - have a look at the web site - http://www.transwiltsrail.org.uk/  Wink

It's a coming together of interested parties - the rail industry, local businesses, the community, and politicians at unitary and Westminster levels to find a pracical way to provide an appropriate rail service to connect communities and businesses in and through Wiltshire.  There's been (and still is) a lot of work going on in the background, and you'll see much more posted in various places over the next week or two, including here.

Can I - please - encourage everyone who lives / works in or near Wiltshire to provide their inputs via the short survey on the page. There's a separate survey for businesses too.  The information gathered will be important in shaping how the various proposals / possibilities rush forward, and in helping them to succeed in getting everything into place for the most approapriate service that can be achieved later this year.

We are hosting a copy of the logo at http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/twr.jpg and you are welcome to copy it onto appropriate sites, and link t the copy that's here.  You're also welcome (no - more that welcome - ENCOURAGED - to add in links to the TransWiltsRail site.

Nice to see that FGW (First Great Western) are taking an interest in this line although i wonder where FGW will find the stock , although i suppose the may have some spare stock off peak sitting at Westbury/Bristol.

Hopefully  there will be a lot of interest from local people who use the current service or who would use a enhanced service.
