I know of a number of members here who have signed up for Twitter and 'tweet' ... indeed I was just looking at a picture of an 08 shunter posted by one member, reading another's rail mileage from yesterday, and musing at a third preparing his allotment for this year's crop.

I'm "@wellho" and you can see my latest tweets at http://twitter.com/wellho .   Anyone else like to share their handles?

I must admit I have never explored Twitter much - must be my advancing years.  When I first looked it seemed to be full of trivia and not for me but perhaps it is time to take another look.

I don't get it.  What am I supposed to do with Twitter, other than read up on what the newspapers are gagged from publishing?!  Even Halifax (the bank) started following me today!?!!

i have to be honest, if you use it in the way it was designed for its useless... in reality its an advertising site that allows spamming, the only decent use that i have found for it is gaining info on current events without relying on more traditional news vendors
