They have been added to the refurbished HSTs▸ (High Speed Train) and are being added to the refurbished 158 units at least

Are the emergency windows laminated on refurb HST▸ (High Speed Train)'s, if so you know where not to sit.

The new HST▸ (High Speed Train) windows all look the same.  If some are not laminiated (in order to serve as emergency exits) then they haven't been marked (unlike the Virgin Voyagers and SWT▸ (South West Trains) Diseros where a couple of windows per coach are marked "emergency exit".  I suspect that all of the windows are laminiated glass and that current best practice is not to provide any "emergency exits" through the windows.

Any insider have the gen on this?

Are laminated windows impossible to break in an emergency?  If so are hammers still provided - it would seem sensible to remove them if attempting to break the windows was a waste of time.

All this is coming out now but laminated windows were fitted to all refurbed coaches when they were refurbed?

Currently sitting in Coach G of a refurbed HST▸ (High Speed Train) - window next to me has a big green "Emergency Window" sign over it with a hammer.

There seems to be two emergency windows - one on each side about half way down the carriage.

Cant comment on coaches A-E

They are probably desinged not to a disintergrate under great pressure, They might crack and are probably pretty difficult to break.
