From the FGW website :

Line problem in the Severn Tunnel Junction area.

Train services between Bristol Parkway and Newport South Wales are being disrupted due to an earlier broken down train in the Severn Tunnel Junction area. Engineers have worked as fast as possible to restore services to normal. Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 60 minutes may still occur.

20:22 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 23:55
This train will be terminated at Bristol Temple Meads. It will no longer call at: Filton Abbey Wood, Patchway, Severn Tunnel Jn, Newport South Wales and Cardiff Central. This is due to an earlier broken down train.

Road transport will operate from Bristol Temple Meads.

22:54 Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central due 23:55
This train has been revised. It will additionally call at: Filton Abbey Wood, Patchway, Severn Tunnel Jn and Newport South Wales. This is due to an earlier broken down train.

Ah! Thanks, Lee!

Maybe my rather unusual 1753 service from BTM to Nailsea (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=2045.msg15403#msg15403 ) wasn't just due to the sick passenger at Stapleton Road, then?

 Huh
