I was waiting for the 19.01 to Melksham at Chippenham and the this showing as delayed until 19.24, then  over the public address system  the 19.01 to Westbury is being delayed to landside equipment failure at Stoke-on-Trent.  Huh

That’s a new one to blame why a train was late that had started at Worcester. This made passengers laugh.   Grin

It's ironically correct!

The 1424 Manchester Piccadilly to Penzance was routed ahead of it and hence caused the initial reason for the delay!

Yes, sadly, Sion, it's true!  The (notoriously often) delayed 1744 from BTM to Penzance this evening was being announced as delayed by "32 - figures, three two" minutes, due to 'previous problems' at Stoke on Trent!
