Hi,  I am new to this forum so I hope my message works! I thought it might be useful to those who are interested in the Newquay Branch Line that we are a community support group that started in Nov 2005 to represent the users of the line and to secure a much needed development of the local service and to gain general improvements such as for example at Newquay Railway Station. We have a website www.focal.org.uk and have been working hard with First Great Western to secure the 7 services Monday to Saturday with a dedicated rail unit starting from Dec 2008. Hi, Porth55, and welcome to the forum.  Congratulations on the improvements from December - excellent news for the Newquay line.   I'm part of a group looking at getting similar improvements elsewhere.   Good to see it can be done  - what do you think are the major keys to your success?  Who do you think were the real influencers and decision makers (there you go  a chance to hand out rosettes all around!)
