Did my eyes deceive me on Friday evening, or is there a pedestrian level crossing over the running line leading to the Henley line that commuters use in great numbers to get to the car park?    I'm afraid I usually pass through Twyford at some speed - so I was somewhat surprised at what I think I saw as my train pulled out ... passengers crossing the tracks, and a train coming off the branch and tooting at them to let them know it was there.

Goodness - I'm surprised that the safety case still allows it - but then thinking about it, we have a public footpath that crosses on the level just up from our local station, where the line speed is around 60.
