From FGW website:

Sunday 01st June 2008

Due to overrunning engineering work between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa, we are unable to operate the full-advertised service. We are currently operating one service and hour in each direction.

Customers are advised to expect delays and alterations to their journeys as a result of this problem and to keep checking this website for further updates.

I was caught up in this, whilst out "on tour"

The 0908 Portsmouth-Bristol Parkway service I was on was delayed because single-line working was compounded by a train breaking down.

The disruption lasted all day, which scuppered my plans to visit Keynsham & Oldfield Park stations. However, I visited both yesterday.

On Sunday 1st June 08, FGW had over running engineering work between Bristol and Bath. As they then did not have a set or crew for the 10:57 Paddington to Penzance, because it was late coming in. FGW used a 3 car turbo to work the service from Paddington, but only to Reading, then a HST cover the rest of the journey.
