On my travels recently, I have noticed that the up
station buiding has had boarding put around it,
plus further down the Truro end there seems to be
more.  Do I take it that the up buildings are to
face the chop, along with the elegent footbridge?
It seems such a shame that more of this heritage
station and once very well looked after gardens
are left to be neglected and demolished.  They
should be listed, footbridge alone is 1883 or /8.

Does anyone else also agree that it was a bit silly
knocking down the brick built bus depot, which would
of made a usefull information point for bus, rail and
a visitor centre?

Is the refurbishment of St.Austell station (well, and town) not the biggest farce on earth?? How far behind are they already with no end in sight? There are now NO car parking facilities at the station during the current stage of the works.

Not bad as it was supposed to be complete last October. I think he is being optomistic with the upside, new building yet to be built, new bridge/lifts to be installed and the old bridge/building to be refurbished, 4 months? Hmmmm, has taken them 4 months to lay paving slabs on the downside...

Thanks for that gentleman, it is good news that
the up building is 'safe', shame realy that it
was too late for the downside building which I
remember well.  Lets hope this lift structure
will blend in!
