Trying to remember which TOC tried to run Basingstoke to GEML it crossed my mind just how many TOCs have there been both current and dead? I haven't a clue but thinking about it most have changed at least once and there around 20 plus franchises then 50 or so!
It provides an Interesting answer to the Wolmar question;
What are franchises for?
To distribute government subsidies around the bus and foreign rail companies.
