The Blackmore Vale group (https://www.blackmorevaletrains.com/about-us/) are very active as are the Friends of Templecombe station. Whilst Stalbridge is just 10 minutes from Templecombe there are only two buses a day between the two. Said timetable is near the main bus stop in Stalbridge, which has better bus connections to Sherborne, 25 minutes away. I say better, it's only a two hourly service.
