Title: Advice needed: Advance fare change of date
Post by: Btline on June 18, 2009, 19:54:49
Is it possible to change the date of a pre-booked Advance ticket?

I understand that there is likely to be a cost!

Thanks in advance.

^10 per single journey plus any difference in fare.

I don't think you get money back though, if the cost is less you still pay the more expensive fare.

Thanks guys,

How do I do this? Surely they need to rip up my old ticket?

No, you must keep your old ticket as you will only get an excess fare, which is only valid with your old fare. You will be best popping down to the local station to do it.

And in the end I didn't need to!

Thanks everyone for the advice - I'm sure it will be useful in the future and to others...
