BTP RELEASES CCTV IMAGES AFTER YOUTHS ROBBED OF BICYCLES - PARSON STREET, BRISTOL

British Transport Police (BTP) officers investigating a robbery at Parson Street rail station in Bristol have today, Wednesday 4 November, released CCTV images of four youths they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The incident took place at Parson Street rail station at around 6pm on Saturday 10 October. Four teenagers, aged 12-15, reported that their bicycles were stolen by a group of youths.

The victims boarded the late running 17.10hrs service at Western-super-Mare rail station and during the journey, a group of older teenage boys on the train began showing in an interest in the cycles. Both groups left the train at Parson Street shortly before 6pm. The older youths then threatened the four victims and demanded they hand over their bikes.

DC Richard Day, BTP investigating officer, said: ^The thieves took the bikes, ran up the stairs to exit the station and made off towards Hartcliffe Way. Officers from Avon and Somerset Police arrived on the scene first and carried out a search of the area but the youths were not located. The youths who took the bikes are described as being white and aged 16-19."

Anyone who knows the identity of those in the CCTV images, is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, quoting log 377 of 10/10/2009.

Western-super-Mare >:(

Hope they get them. They're reasonably good photos. I suspect the local school heads will be invited to take a look.   ;D

But why does it take nearly a month to release the pictures? I suppose someone's going to tell me it's because a lot of paperwork has to be done so as not to infringe the civil liberties of the alleged thieves by publishing their photos.
