Title: Re: Where was johnneyw today, 6.6.23? Post by: johnneyw on June 06, 2023, 20:52:13 I'm glad you spotted my deliberate mistake. Actually, I should have had a closer look. My only defence is that the train was about to leave when I got there so the picture was a bit hurried.
"Sarfend" was a summer day trip family destination when I was a child living on the edge of London so this day out from Bristol comes largely under the heading " Nostalgia". There's sure been changes but much was still familiar.....and at £29.00 advanced ticket return with a Railcard, a bit of a bargain too. Title: Re: Where was johnneyw today, 6.6.23? Post by: JayMac on June 06, 2023, 20:53:01 But where’s Southen pier? ;D There's no end in sight. Particularly if its foggy. :P Title: Re: Where was johnneyw today, 6.6.23? Post by: johnneyw on June 06, 2023, 20:58:45 As a little footnote. In all our visits there back in the 60s, we never managed to do the pier train, so this sort of counted as bashing a new line.....same with the Lizzie Line today too.
