Title: Christmas tree decoration
Post by: PhilWakely on October 30, 2024, 19:13:58
Apologies for mentioning the 'C' word in October, but I am sure folk would love to fork out £59 for this gold plated ornament (https://www.thelondonchristmascompany.com/products/gwr)

A slightly longer chain and it would be a de rigueur fashion accessory for every train buff 'medallion man'.

The sort of thing I could see Francis Bourgeois wearing.

If that thang is brass, it's hardly 'The lighter side' is it?

... for decades, the sight of the GWR Class 43 HST pulling into a station has meant one thing: the joy of coming together for Christmas ...

Amazing how iconic the HST has become - and not just at Christmas.   In fact my memories are much more of HSTs on work / business trips which paused over Christmas, and leisure trips in fine weather.

Come to think of it - IS Christmas a joy for you?  I suspect there's a poll in that so you can say honestly and anonymously

I'll move it to "The Lighter Side" and merge it when I get a chance - busy Sunday today.  Though "the lighter side" it has been noted is not the best place for this quite heavy lump!

Yes much more appropriate in "The Lighter side"

I couldn't have done it better myself, Captain Mainwaring.  :)
