1  All across the Great Western territory / Across the West / Re: Station usage figures on: June 20, 2008, 01:23:57
Thanks SW lines. I'm now left wondering what the point/use of these stats is.

If anyone is making decisions based on these figures then they are missing something.
Personally speaking, as my local service aint exactly great I would most likely drive to
the next station yet if the local service was there I would definitely use it more.

The figures never show a "potential" or "what if"...

Radstock regeneration, what a joke that is.  The place needs more than a few shops
or a train station to stop it being what it is.

The cycle path gets a fair bit of use now.

It is nice down there, all overgrown (until they got the diggers in) and no doubt
some rare toads or summit..........  I used to walk down the train lines some 20
years ago from school, you didnt need to fear any trains, just the odd guy in the
train work sheds... I'd love it to be something more but it will never happen for money
reasons and also the mentality of the place....  such a shame.

Demand forecasting methodology?  Huh This is why the system is in the state its in!

All I know is: I pay shedloads of tax driving my car and when I want some public transport action it aint exactly anything other than third world cattle car.

If someone thought about the cost of the NHS before they set it up they wouldnt have bothered probably, sometimes you have to think about the PEOPLE not the MONEY.  They waste money on everything else, why not this as well....

Sadly, an ex train user.
