1  All across the Great Western territory / Media about railways, and other means of transport / Re: TV series on the InterCity125 on: March 21, 2018, 09:30:34
Thank you for welcoming me to the site. Just a reminder that if you do know anyone who relocated out of London or any major city in the 70ies or 80ies as a result of the faster commuter times offered by the InterCity 125 we'd love to here from them. We're filming at the moment for a two part series celebrating the InterCity 125 and as part of the series I'd like to reflect the impact the 125 made to commuting. Thanks again.  graeme.thomson@windfallfilms.com

Windfall Films is making a TV (Thames Valley, or TeleVision, depending on context) documentary series on the history of the InterCity125.
As part of the series, we're looking for commuters who moved out of London probably in the 80ies as a direct result of the reduced journey times proffered by the 125.
It opened up commuter towns across the South driving house building and employment. If you know of someone who regularly commuted on the 125 and who moved to the suburbs specifically because of the opportunities provided by the 125 we'd love to hear from you. We're looking for people who are willing to tell us their story on camera and we're filming at the moment. Please contact graeme.thomson@windfallfilms.com. Thank you.
