I was pondering about the future of 165s on the Thames Valley branches, are there any current plans for them to be replaced?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a great idea to me.  Perhaps it will allow GWR (Great Western Railway) to operate that service to Fantasy Island at long last so we can come visit you.

All i wanted was further information, there is no need to be rude.

Then again this is just a rumour isn’t it.

Indeed.  Perhaps GWR (Great Western Railway) 158 can tell us from where he heard the rumour?

I certainly can, I heard it from a friend. I highly doubted this would be true anyway, I just wanted further information to see whether anyone has heard anything similar.

11  All across the Great Western territory / Across the West / GWR IETs Issue on: February 24, 2024, 15:10:53
Hi all,

I heard a rumour recently that suggested GWR (Great Western Railway) are planning to withdraw IET (Intercity Express Train - replacement for HSTs (manufactured by Hitachi in Kobe, Japan)) sets permanently due to rusting/corroding bolts. Does anybody have more information on this? Or is it untrue
12  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / London Day Travelcards on: January 19, 2024, 19:50:55
Hi all,

I am planning to travel between Basingstoke and London Waterloo several times in one day, would I be able to use a London day travelcard for this?

Does a travelcard offer unlimited travel between the points shown on the ticket?

Thanks in advance,

13  Journey by Journey / Oxford, Didcot and Reading from the West / Re: New Oxford - Bristol direct service, ongoing developments and discussion on: January 08, 2024, 19:22:58
Hi all,

Found an interesting article stating that GWR (Great Western Railway) are planning to run direct IET (Intercity Express Train - replacement for HSTs (manufactured by Hitachi in Kobe, Japan)) services from Bristol Temple Meads to Oxford via Didcot Parkway. I have attached the article below. What does everyone think about these plans? I think it would be very beneficial for passengers travelling down from Bristol and stations in between and it would be an effective way to get more people using the rail network.
