Look for squidface@hotmail.co.uk - Dave Dickinson.

Thanks for picking up the invite Smiley

For any Facebook lovers out there, this is a pretty neat game (added my invite to it to be cheeky):

Controlling airships, exploring, etc....

Also, anyone else play mousehunt?  That's quite fun!

Cheers.

And that sort of service really makes a difference - when the staff make an effort to get the best discount for you (but still within the rules of course!)

Not quite on topic - but I get a annual season ticket for this run Newton - Exeter and it dropped dramatically when I renewed it in Nov last year - from ^1050 down to ^880.

My previous annual ticket lasted the whole year through the barriers at Exeter - although you could barely read it!

Zoe, yes, the Newton Abbot ticket office can be a nightmare - it's the enquiries that seem to be the problem (as Devonian said).

I have been travelling with a annual railcard for the last year and a bit - and it's so nice not to have to go to the ticket office every morning....

Mine has gone from ^1052 to ^883 - I am very pleased!

I should note that's the Newton Abbot to Exeter St Davids run.
7  Journey by Journey / Shorter journeys in Devon - Central, North and South / Re: South Devon Coast And FGW on: May 15, 2008, 15:33:12
The last time I went to Totnes, some dude was banging a gong every 30 seconds in a park and one chap was walking through the town in just his underpants - "the walk of shame".....

Its a class place!

Also - 25 minutes to drive from Teignmouth to Totnes?  Depends on the time and route I guess, but I am sure that doesn't take into account the sometimes dreadful traffic in Newton.
8  Sideshoots - associated subjects / The West - but NOT trains in the West / Re: Massive Newton Abbot Housing Estate Approved on: May 08, 2008, 10:34:01
Yes, I've always wondered why they have that train call in at all the stops on the way...barmy.  Whatever happened to joined up public transport  Huh

No matter, I'll stick with the 7:30 as getting home a bit earlier works out better anyway...

Thanks for the welcome!  I rather think my experience of XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) performance since they took over has put First Great Western in a much better light, they don't seem to be doing a good job of getting a handle of things....

I "migrated" to the 7:30 service from Newton Abbot sometime ago - much nicer, the 8:03 is a joke.  Trouble is I generally have to get the 16:45 home which is almost as bad.  XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) need to ditch their toy trains as soon as possible.
