A comment from Driver Potter about the current operational difficulties on his blog

Quote
PS: I make no comment on how we used to things when every train could couple to every other train because (a) it doesn't bloody help, (b) times have moved on and most importantly (c) looking like a smart arse when things go wrong is what the foaming anoraks do; railwaymen just bloody deal with it!

One doesn't like to be critical of the hand that feeds it, you know...

We'll get the Old Lady back home....

Is Driver Potter also the admin of a particular facebook group under a different name (not mentioned to protect the innocent!).

Just wondering!

Go on - spill the beans?!

As of Friday 14th August 2009, Driver Potter is a qualified driver.

Time to start going by bus, folks.

Although you lot on Great Western as safe - unless you change trains at Reading...

Most kind, old boy.
Most kind.

Any loud digestive sounds of a nervous nature heard in West London for the next four days can safely be put down to yours truly....

Just thought I'd pop in and offer my thanks for looking in on the "crafty one off the wrist" story...

As someone mentioned it was written by The Sun, which is best described as the Beano with Sports Pages; personally I think that someone somewhere has taken liberties with the facts but it still makes for an entertaining read.

Hope you've enjoyed looking over the rest of the site.

All the best,
Driver Potter
