I was also in this queue, think I got on the service before the one which JohnR was on. Ended up going to Filton Abbey Wood and walking back to the car near Parkway after we realised that the Temple Meads queue would move a lot quicker than the Paddington one!
Hopefully Saturday shouldn't be as bad!

Assuming the the validity hasn't changed, one could theoretically travel from Bath to Southampton with this ticket.


You can definitely do this, I know because I've done it!!  Smiley

About half of the fast Victoria to Brighton trains are 442s. Occasionally I've seen these leave from the Gatwick Express platforms at Victoria too.

I travel from Yate to Brighton alot on this service, and it is almost always well used, with most passengers that I have noticed travelling from Brighton to Bath/Bristol TM (Train Manager, or Ticket Machine, or Temple Meads (Bristol), depending on context). I would be sad to see it go as it provides a useful link.
