Having now caught up on the last in the series, I've really enjoyed all (perhaps the first one was too padded & slow for me - bit like some of the then loco's).  An excellent series.
Also good for me as a bus driver to see the behind the scene's on the rail side, fascinating.

Having given this a poor review because of its visual style in the first part, I eventually braced myself to watch the rest which I recorded.  I must confess that I learned a lot from the second part and enjoyed that and the concluding part a lot more.  This was a series with much to commend it in the end, but I wish they wouldn't let arty media students direct some of this stuff (just a mini rant  Wink).

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.
