I'm taking the liberty, Bob, of quoting a part of the job spec ...

Quote
The previous incumbent of the vacant seat on the Board was Chris Irwin, who is Chair of TravelWatch South West. Chris left the Board at the end of 2012.

The Thamesdown Board is now looking to recruit a replacement Non-Executive Director to represent user interests.

To contribute to the work of the Board in determining strategy and policy for the business.
To approve the Company^s three Year Business Plan and each year^s Budget.
To monitor the financial and operational performance of the business.
To approve the annual accounts and Directors^ Report.
As part of the Board^s Remuneration Committee, to consider any pay award for the Executive Directors each year and to approve the Managing Director^s performance bonus.
