The lady across the way in the carriage on the Manchester to Plymouth train was trying out all the ring phones available on her phone this evening - finding the one she liked and had the most penetrating, attention-grabbing properties.    Can we call it the "noisy carriage" please!

... or how about a 'Mobile-phone-users-only carriage' - where every passenger must go, if they wish to use their device during a journey.

There, they could compete with each other, in terms of volume, irritatingness of ringtones or one-upmanship of latest gadgetry to their hearts content, without causing distress to those travelling in any of the other 'restricted' carriages we have already suggested.  Wink Cheesy Grin

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.
