I am only a "hobbyist" computer programmer but surely it should be possible for FGW (First Great Western) to be more selective with their emails.

A few days ago I booked a train ticket via their website.

Today I got an email reminding me the journey is tomorrow - fair enough.

However it then went on to remind me about First Class and complimentary refreshments - I bought a standard ticket.

..and the icing on the cake?  Pullman Restaurants are available on selected trains from London Paddington.  Great - I bought a standard off-peak return from Reading to Twyford - a journey that takes all of 7 minutes!   Cheesy
