Not sure where to post this but:

Branch Line Society special running from Plymouth this morning out to Laira and, I think, its due to go down the branch towards Cattewater.  Full HST▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) set top n tailed by both Laira Class 08 locos.  All profits from the trip going to a local charity.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

The profit from running this special went to Plymouth & District Mind, nearly ^8000 in total so well done all those involved down in Plymouth
