I have to say, the livery in the image I like because it makes the train stand out. The current one is a wee bit on the dark side for me.

I am looking forward to the CrossCountry HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) livery- I think it should be quite good (fingers crossed).

Indeed.

The one used before is basically the current livery with vinyls.

I'm told they couldn't use dynamic lines on the power car as the vinyls came out in the wash!

as you quite rightly say power cars cannot have dynamic lines as the vinyls came off them due to shape of car and speed they travel at,i think they found that out when they did 43004 as a trial?
hence the power car blue paint now.
