...and a wet evening at Blackwater

Blackwater Station, or at least the Reading-bound side is currently closed due to flooding which seems to be preventing access to the platform (I couldn't see myself as we rushed through in the dark this evening)

The following is the river level at Blackwater Bridge https://flood-warning-information.service.gov.uk/station/7142?direction=u. Not quite at the yellow line, but a few are around Reading on the Thames and Kennet. Kennet was very high as I cycled through Reading town centre this morning. Probably over the lower parts of the Oracle, but that will have to wait for the homeward journey.

It appears to have got worse this evening:

Customer Advice
Due to flooding on the station platform, Trains towards Reading will not call at Blackwater until further notice. Please travel on Guildford bound service and circulate via Farnborough North and North Camp for stations to Wokingham and Reading; Pasengers travelling to Blackwater from Gatwick, Redhill and Guildford, are to alight at Guildford and apporach station staff for information about road transpot.
Replacement road transport services are conveying passengers between Guildford and Blackwater in that direction only until further notice.

An update will follow within the next 2 hours.
If you hold a valid single, return, or weekly ticket, you will be able to claim compensation for delays of 15 minutes or more. Please keep your ticket and visit GWR^▸ .com/DelayRepay

Aha! I was on the 20:30 arrival on Saturday evening and, suffice to say, we all got rather wet exiting the station, traversing the edge of a substantial lake.

When I travelled again yesterday, the entrance to Platform 2 was still surrounded by a lot of mud, however the footpath was clear.
