Photobomb - or Putting passengers first?

All lined up, three different generations of express trains and this ... person ... walks across totally oblivious of the (I felt) very obvious picture I was taking.

But perhaps this should be not looked at as a "photobomb". After all - trains are there for passengers, so perhaps passengers should be to the fore in pictures of trains.

Nothing longer that 5 carriages in Cornwall (that I saw) over the last two days - but then nothing longer needed; time of year and times I travelled, maybe. There was one 2 car train on the main line that could have done with 4 or 5 ... and the odd 4 or 5 car one where 2 or 3 would have sufficed at least for the part on the journey I was on.

An excellent time of year - before the leaves on the trees - to get long distance shots to and from the train. Sadly, lots of really filthy and reflective windows that turn shots from within the train more into record shots that pictures of beauty - oh for the odd opening window or sparking clean carriage.

Doesn't look like a passenger, looks like someone about to take a photo

Either way human decency should mean that the person stands back whilst you take the picture

Maybe looks like a photographer and smells like a photographer, but certainly not taking pictures and joined the HST^▸ (as did I) before it left.

One from a few years ago

Several of us were lined up at the end of the platform at St Thomas. This guy turns up at the very last minute, turns towards us with a big smirk on his face before taking up his position. Fortunately, a slightly different angle was possible, keeping the interloper out of centre-frame!

Myself and several other photographers had carefully got ourselves in position so that we weren't in each others' way when this chap suddenly ran up and plonked himself right in front Roll Eyes
