From the Community Rail Network

Quote
Rising to the challenge of decarbonisation

We believe community rail can play an important part in decarbonising transport, through encouraging modal shift, and helping to create integrated sustainable transport networks that work for local people. There are also lots of insights from community rail that can help policy makers understand what’s needed to lead the change we need.

We’re therefore doing a lot to advise government and industry partners:
On 24 Aug, 2:30 to 3:45pm - we’re hosting a webinar with the DfT» (Department for Transport - about) so its Transport Decarbonisation team can hear directly from community rail partnerships and station groups and understand your experiences. Bookings open next week.

I will add the booking Lin when I get it

OK - I was a bit (!) slow in sharing that link, and indeed by the time I got around to looking and booking for myself, the event was reported full and standing, so no point in sharing the link at this very late stage.  I have just received an email notifying of another online CRN» (Community Rail Network - about) event - next month - and will post in a new thread.

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
