Although Community Rail is stated (or was when I applied for TransWilts membership) as being intended to get more use existing services and not new services, I am posting here under "Campaigns" - a final call for entries to the Community Rail Awards which take place in Swansea next March.

Realistically, if this is a new topic to anyone involved in Community Rail it's going to be far too late for you to rush something in - however, it triggered me to thinking why I'm not scheming with people here-abouts to put in for an award or two this year. And it comes down to a depression about not having a marketable product I can be proud of. Even in the days of two trains each way per day, we had a product that could be sold in a niche user market, but at present we don't even have that - we have a failure of
reliability where every time someone catches a train at my suggestion, I have my fingers crossed that they'll be able to make it back home without emotional / mental concerns.
