Quietly, five years ago today (26.10.2018), I started a Facebook page for the Coffee Shop at https://www.facebook.com/CoffeeShopCRP .  Being a page rather than a group, new topics can only be started by the page owners / admin - the intent is to provide an occasional pointer to key Coffee Shop news / content for guests, and members who major on Facebook and just come here occasioanally.

By all means follow the Coffee Shop page if you're on that platform regularly, but you'll not find much if any original content there if you read the forum from time to time.

Aside - I also look after the Melksham Transport User Group page on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/MelkshamTUG and groups at https://www.facebook.com/groups/wwrug (West Wiltshire Rail User Group) and https://www.facebook.com/groups/option247 (Buses in Wiltshire).  The West Wiltshire Rail User Group provides a local way for the actual user group to be kept informed and discuss things between meetings.  Rather sadly, the Wiltshire Buses group has been diversified by just one or two very knowledgable users who provide a number of very useful stories, but have otherwise diversified shared content to the extent that the group is less than fulfilling its purpose as it's been so diluted.

There has been a break in these occasional pointers over recent weeks - as they're only occasional that amounts to no more than 3 or 4 contributions not made; back now as I have re-established my connection which was lost last month during my Facebook fiasco.

To confirm those are all managed again - have been for a while.

My personal Facebook page in now https://www.facebook.com/graham.ellis.melksham ; some of you are very much friends there, and I extend the hand of friendship to other regular posters too.

Do you have something you would like to add to this thread, or would you like to raise a new question at the Coffee Shop? Please [register] (it is free) if you have not done so before, or login (at the top of this page) if you already have an account - we would love to read what you have to say!

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
