10.  Canal tunnels.  I know that Sapperton has a famous railway tunnel which is still in use - I travelled through it last week - and it also has a famous canal tunnel which is blocked by roof falls but which still has elegant portals - I've seen them.  Mr Google shows that the other three locations also have canal
tunnels.

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Indeed!

Norwood Tunnel is on the Chesterfield Canal - indeed it's the current limit of navigation of the "connected section". (There's an isolated restored section beyond the tunnel.) Significantly collapsed; the restoration plans envisage opening up a large part as a cutting.

Greywell is on the Basingstoke Canal, also the limit of navigation. Full of rare bats so not going to be reopened. (Plus the "navigable" part of the Basingstoke has enough problems of its own without adding more.)

Drakeholes is also on the Chesterfield, but it isn't closed - it's part of the navigable section, and it's actually broad-beam (14ft) so that wider boats can proceed some way from the Trent before the locks start in earnest.
