On the London Midland website, they are allowing you to buy a "Super Off Peak Return London Midland only" ticket for a Chiltern Train!

^15 (^9.90 with a railcard) for return travel to London!

On the 0730 Chiltern service from Kidderminster to Marylebone (arrive 1025) and the 1800 service from Marylebone (slap bang in the rush hour, where the departure screen states: "Super Off Peak tickets not valid")

Now, what happens if someone buys this without reading the small print, (why should you?) and gets Penalty Fared? You can't reserve a seat, so there will be no way of proving you were legitimately sold the ticket for this train.

Checked on fgwticket.com and they don't let you buy the fare.

It only occurs if you search "Kidderminster" to "London Terminals", click on "slower routes", check all the boxes and press "update".

Now, I would be happy to exploit this loophole, but I fear people are going to be caught out...

Don't LM (London Midland - recent franchise) use your beloved Mixing Deck thingy?
