The only thing I did differently this time was NOT to apply the "glowing edges" filter in Photoshop (my croppingv is manual / may be slighly varied).   Yes - it did look very third rail, I agree, but nothing was done to maniplulate individual photo components.

Yep, the Melksham sample is a South West Trains picture (on hire to FGW▸ (First Great Western))
