If you've forgotten your password, you can ask for a reset / get a new one via:

http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?action=reminder

If you've forgotten your user name too, you can enter your registered email address on that page instead of your user name, and you'll be emailed the user name and a password reset - rather like the initial reset.

If you have also lost the email address that you registered from ... it's a bit more difficult!  In such an instance, please email one of the administrators (I am graham@wellho.net ) with as many details as you have, and we'll take it from there.

Dear Uncle Graham,

I can remember my user name, and my password, and the email address I registered from. So my cyber-life is all hunky-dory. However, I have now forgotten who I really am. Can you help with that too, please?

Dear Phil,

You're doing pretty well, remembering three out of four. (user name, password, email all remembered - just "really are" forgotten).

If you need a reminder of who you really are, can I suggest you look yourself up on Wikipedia (or, failing that, Google) which has some information that may be of help ... you can't totally believe everything you read on wikipedia, but it may give you some good clues.

If you forgot you username AND password and has happened to me once - cant honestly remember what email you had at the time (think it was the trainline) - you just sign up again with a new user name

And if you use IP address as unique how do you deal with DHCP or many different computers

Yes, but on a forum that would put you back to being a newcomer, whereas on somewhere like Trainline it's just a question of re-entering your details and perhaps favourite journeys; on Trainline it's just inconvenient to just you, but on the Coffee Shop, it's confusing and misleading to other members too.

And if you use IP address as unique how do you deal with DHCP or many different computers

We don't use unique, unchanging IP addresses to establish uniqueness ...

You registered with the trainline? Twice? What on earth possessed you do that?  Wink Grin
