It has been said today, that First Great Western and Cross Country Trains will have to be pay a fee to Reading Festival organisers for the entertainment the rail customers will get once the train passes the site of the Reading Festival.

Unfortunately due to the cost of this, if your train is routed between Reading and Didcot Parkway between 26th and 28th August 2011 you will be charged an extra ^20.

An alternative option of paying ^10 for ear muffs and blindfold will also be made available.

Supplements must be purchased before boarding where possible to do so, on the train this price is doubled.

I am yet to get an official statement from Festival Republic about this however Mr Stan Dupp from FGW (First Great Western) has said, "We appreciate this charge is high and will come as a bit of a blow, but the line up for Reading Festival is very good this year, and this is reflected in the price"

Yeah I was trying to think of something decent. Came up with this, and think it's a bit rubbish.

I blame being ill.
