From the BTP (British Transport Police) press release:

Quote
British Transport police (BTP) officers are appealing for the public^s help to identify a man they would like to speak to in connection with an incident which took place at St Austell railway station.

Officers have today released a CCTV (Closed Circuit Tele-Vision) image of a man they believe will have information which can assist the investigation into the incident which happened shortly before midnight on Friday, 19 August 2011.

PC Bob Edwards, investigating officer, said: ^At about 11.54pm, four men alighted from the 1903hrs London Paddington to Penzance service when it arrived at St Austell station. As the train departed, one of the men grabbed hold of a carriage door handle and was pulled about 25 metres along the platform by the moving train. At this stage, officers are unsure whether the man was attempting to ^train surf^ or whether he was trying to re-board the train after it had started to pull away from the station. Either way, this was an extremely reckless act which could have ended in him receiving very serious injuries or even the loss of his life. Enquiries are ongoing and I would now like to identify and speak to the man in this photograph as I believe he will have information which can assist this inquiry.^

Anyone who knows the man^s identity, or his current whereabouts, is asked to contact British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40, quoting incident number B4/WWA of 26/08/2011. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
