Hello all,

Have you ever travelled on a route, weather by car, train, bus or even walked and have been down this road/track/path a million times, but you have only just noticed something that you didn't know was there before? If so, I'd be interested in hearing it, as hopefully I am not the only one...

I'll start with mine:

For the past god knows how long, I have done countless journeys between Trowbridge and Bradford-on-Avon on the train, and I know the journey by heart...or at least I thought I did. Recently, I was looking on Google Maps as I wanted to know how you get to those level crossings between Bradford Junction and Bradford-on-Avon. I scanned past Bradford Junction and stopped, as I noticed there was a river going under the railway....a river??

I honestly thought this must have been built yesterday, as I can't even remember seeing this from the train! My fianc^e who has lived here for 3 years has even seen it countless times....now that is embarrassing! Embarrassed If I am honest, I also didn't know the canal went over the railway there too...I just thought it was a road bridge...I need to get out more! Grin

i dont know the area that well, but when checking railway lines on google maps, always ALWAYS double check on satellite view as the railways are not always accurate on there (same on sat navs) the west somerset railway within the ta4 postcode is a prime example
