The Somerset and Dorset has purchased a significant length of trackback in the Chilcompton direction thanks to a bequest.  More about it in the article from Rail Advent, link below:

Ah, Redan Bridge... I recall standing on its deck in August 1996 after dark, thirty years too late to see the trains and a few days too late to  see the last of comet hyakutake which had been visible in the skies from mid-March. That's a dramatic sweeping curve of railway already at an unlikely height above the valley bottom.
