I have always thought it odd that a station the size of Plymouth only had one ATM▸ (Automated Teller Machine, or 'at the moment', depending on context), and one that charged at that.

Not sure when it was installed, but there is now a free to use one outside between the entrance and Inter City House.  I couldn't see any signage within the station and only discovered it when I was walking to the adjacent post box.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

bobm and I have been known to stroll up that hill to the Copthorne hotel for a pint whilst killing time before Pullman departures.

I've also been known to get the bus from the station to Plymouth city centre!

The only pass I have in Plymouth is a PlusBus I'll have you know!  You will qualify for a senior pass a couple of years before me!

If you find yourself killing time in those circumstances again, try this place, 5 mins walk from station (.....it's downhill on the way back!)
