i don't know if any of you have seen this, but stagecoach are advertising there buses on TV (Thames Valley, or TeleVision, depending on context) now.

has anyone ever seen another bus/train operator do this? (with the exception of virgin, who do this lots)

Would be nice to get fgw doing something, such as shouting about the cornish lines etc. Should increase the use...

Have to agree the amount of advertising, considering some of the very low fares on offer is minimal!

FGW (First Great Western) put ads on TV (Thames Valley, or TeleVision, depending on context) years ago, about 5 years ago now.

There was a Great Western TV (Thames Valley, or TeleVision, depending on context) ad that showed an HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) going through Menheniot station, but I think it was more than 5 years ago, reckon it was in the Days of Great Western Trains before First brought them out.

Virgin, of course, did the TV (Thames Valley, or TeleVision, depending on context) advert with Indians on Horseback chasing the Virgin Voyager (Vomit Comet), this was quickly and quietly pulled after the main stream press asked "who was it the Red Indians used to chase?"

Answer "COWBOYS"

The "text" language was dreadful- they should not be encouraging it.

I had to pause the advert to work out what was being said!

I like how te advert talks about improved services and more trains on the FGW (First Great Western) network!!  Perhaps an advert they should risk running again!!!  just for fun of course!
