1.Interesting story of a passenger turning up with his cycle at a barriered station and being turned away because he didn't have a reservation ... when he was just going to leave his cycle in the rack on platform.   Can't believe I got the full story?  GWR^▸ (Great Western Railway) station; some services / routes from there being mixed HST^▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) and units.

2. At what point does a bicycle become a bicycle?   Interesting case the other day of someone travelling by train to deliver a bicycle frame, and he was on a bicycle as well.    Does that count as 1 or 2, and if it counts as 2, is that fair on others?

3. Case of infrequent unbookable service turning up at unmanned station midroute with no cycle spaces left. Any cycles waiting to board.  Discression shown thank goodness, but thoughts welcome on how to avoid that turning nasty!    As it's first come, first served if the cyclists had waited 2+ hours for the next train, would other cyclists already on the service from an earlier station, but who had not been waiting at that other station as long, be chucked off?

In reply to 2, I'd say probably not but it depends where/how he stored the frame. A lot of the length of a bike is in the wheels, and almost none of the width is in the frame (it's in the handlebars, pedals and any panniers), so it's quite feasible that you could put a bike frame in the general luggage rack. Also, how big was the frame? A child's bike would have much smaller frame, so would a BMX.
