10:23 Exmouth to Paignton due 11:52
Facilities on the 10:23 Exmouth to Paignton due 11:52.
Will be formed of 3 coaches instead of 2.
This is due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time.

The above is an example of a noticeable increase in (probably uncensored by TOC (Train Operating Company) Control of computer generated good intentioned) info that seems is of no/little interest/use to 'normal' passengers.
It arguably unnecessarily draws attention/ gives a poor public impression of internal TOC shortcomings.
Often, for example, instances of local trains being advised as running with 3 vice 4 coaches on known lightly used off peak services.

Short formed is useful to some people as it enables them to adjust their journey plans.   This particular is just strange reading, the first part not agreeing with the second part.   I suspect that one of the 150/9s is down at Exeter and covering a 2 Car diagram.

Correct.

St Philips Marsh are short of 150s so keep nicking Exeter's.  Exeter have the /9 at the moment covering a 2 car diagram, whilst a few other formations have been shuffled.
