Almost worth going just for the ride on the Lodekka.

Childhood memories of those buses on town services in Taunton.

Whilst very commendable to run this rail replacement service during the diesel gala, it does however continue to point to issues still not being resolved to run an actual regular service between Wareham and Norden.

Don’t get me wrong, what’s been achieved is great but still waiting to see a firm regular service operate every year with little news of exactly when or if it will ever start.

I think I read somewhere, possibly on this forum, that SWR» (South Western Railway - about) plan to run their Weymouth to Corfu Castle service again this Summer. Anyone able to confirm?

When I first read this, I read it as though the Swanage Railway were running a "Rail Replacement Bus Gala" (i.we. a celebration of the Rail Replacement Bus   Grin

Will that run via Simplon or via Arlberg?

I hope Crossrail don't get the contract to build the tunnel under the Ionian Sea.  Wink
