Plans for a ^40 million town centre redevelopment next to a historic church have been revealed (link below.)

Developers Hutley Investments Ltd. want to knock down the two existing buildings, which neighbour the United Reform Church, and replace them with a six storey office block.  The proposed development, Virage, could see 400 new office workers brought to the town centre.

The company is holding a public exhibition from 4.30-8.30pm at the church in West Street on Thursday to show residents the initial designs.
