Yes, I agree - keep the buffets!

I went to London this morning, on an HST▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) from Nailsea.  As soon as I got aboard, I scampered along to the buffet car and asked for a bacon roll.  The genial customer host, however, persuaded me to try their toasted bacon sandwich instead - same price, but much better, apparently, than a bacon roll out of the microwave.

Well, I was delighted with the result: a piping hot freshly toasted bacon sandwich, produced with a cheerful grin by the travelling chef.  He even apologised for keeping me waiting - I wasn't aware I had been waiting!

You couldn't get that from a trolley - so leave the buffets alone!   Wink Cheesy Grin

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

I try to get my order in before the train fills up at Bristol, and yes, it's good. Try the full brekkie Chris, though the cutlery can be a bit flimsy.

Thanks, John - I must admit, I felt a bit guilty at the time, not asking for the traditional 'full English' - but I wasn't that hungry, to be honest!  Embarrassed

And Lee, I seem to remember images of your 'full English' breakfasts have somehow found their way into previous 'on tour' posts??   Cheesy  Grin
