From my email, from the Somerset Bus Partnership

Quote
At Crewkerne yesterday I was given a sheet with a QR (QR Code - Quick Response code (2D bar code)) code pointing to https://smartsurvey.co.uk/s/IG8JLF

This looks like a survey about access to stations and modes of transport for the journey to and from the station.

There is an option to answer questions about bus services, and particularly questions about needing bus services in the evenings and at weekends.

It would be great if as many people as possible could fill it in and call for frequent buses to our local stations, and buses in the evenings and at weekends.

Can you pass this on to anyone you know who can help - and fill it in next time you go anywhere by train?

There are many town and villages linked (or potentially linked) to the Exeter to Salisbury line - "The Mule" by bus and a survey such as this is a useful way of highlighting connectivity by road public transport, actual or potential.

From Exeter St. Davids (with buses to Bude) through to Salisbury (with buses to Stonehenge and Devizes) ... also looking at connectivity to Beer, Bridport, Budleigh Salterton, Chard, Charmouth, Dinton, Lyme Regis, Ottery St Mary, Seaton, Shaftesbury, Sidmouth, West Bay, Wilton, Wincanton, Yeovil (Town) and Yeovilton.  Have I missed anywhere?

South West Coaches Chard, Crewkerne and Yeovil service links villages along that route.

The first bus No6 links Bridport, Crewkerne and Yeovil and villages on that route

On Saturday the CB3 links Bridport, Beaminster and Crewkerne. It is nominally run by Beaminster  Town Council

First Wessex X51/3 link Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Chideock (which you forgot) and Bridport to Axminster with X51 continuing to Dorchester South and the X53 continuing to EWeymouth via west Bay, Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury.
Buses of Somerset 30 from Axminster also serves Chard
Seaton and Beer plus Colyton and Colyford served by Axe Valley 885 from Axminster
Sidmouth served by Stagecoach 9 from Honiton
Budleigh Salterton has Stagecoach service 357 from Exmouth

Most of these do not run evenings or Sundays although some run summer Sundays

I like to travel.  It lets me feel I'm getting somewhere.
